Director of Operations - STLIn January of 2012, Brian and Mary Schmidgall parachuted into North St. Louis, set up their home in an all-black neighborhood, and started a church to raise up indigenous Christian leaders and share Jesus. It probably wasn’t the best way to plant a church, all by themselves, no physical, emotional, or monetary support from a mother church, but God honored their good faith and hard work. In January of 2012 MiddleTree Church was launched. The mission and vision is to be a life giving church in St. Louis that reflects the culture of the surrounding communities. Brian says, “We believe that people are God’s greatest treasure. Our church exists because we want to encounter a powerful, living God who changes and transforms lives. Because of what God is doing in our lives, we are committed to loving, serving, and bringing restoration to those around us. We believe we should make every place better physically and spiritually – starting with our city.”
